The Latin word “Tenebrae” is usually translated as “darkness” or “shadows”.  This march imagines the brooding and mysterious mood of the natural minor mode as an analogy to the darkness before dawn, where we know that light is coming but cannot see it yet. March Tenebrous has something for everyone, including interesting harmony parts, a moving bass line, and percussion parts that will keep everyone in the back engaged!
